2. MANAGEMENT
The general management of the affairs of the Society is vested in its Executive Committee.
The general management of the affairs of Sanskriti School is also guided by the Managing
Committee.
The composition of the Executive Committee of the Civil Services Society and the
Managing Committee of Sanskriti School in 2013 - 14 is indicated in Annexure – I and
Annexure - II.
3. ACTIVITIES
As on January, 2015, Sanskriti School has 2888 students on its rolls from Nursery to Class
XII. It has well stocked libraries, smart classrooms, laboratories, a gymnasium, a football
field and a swimming pool. Apart from the prescribed curriculum, Sanskriti School offers its
students a choice of sports and games, like cricket, football, basketball, table tennis,
swimming and wide ranging co – curricular activities like yoga, chess, theatre, music,
dance, quiz, public speaking, paper craft, etc.
As a part of the rural sensitization program during the year, groups of students of
Class IX go on a day long village trip in and around Delhi and Class XI go to
Nainital, Uttarakhand.
Since its inception Sanskriti has had an environment policy which is reinforced constantly.
Sanskriti is a part of Eco Club an initiative by the Government of Delhi. The EVS lab of the
school has a paper recycler unit and a water harvesting unit to recharge the ground water.
It is also a part of a "Tetra Pack Recycle Program" along with TERI (The Energy Research
Institute). The school also organizes an inter school Environment fest "Sanskriti 350" every
year.
Students of grade 9th as part of their SUPW program visited various parts of Delhi (e.g.
Tibetan Refugee Camp) to undertake surveys and engage in community service. The visits
were organized by Pravah, a non - profit organization which is working in tandem with the
School and the students on various social and rural sensitization project. This activity
helped students to define themselves as individual in context of a different side of Society.
Students of grade 11th organize painting competition and sports day for the students of
Umang.
4. FINANCE
The Society has no income of its own other than the annual subscription of the members.
For Sanskriti School the source of income is the fees collected from the students.
5. CRITICAL REVIEW OF PERFORMANCE
42 students of class 10th secured a GCPA of 10, with A1 grade in all five subjects. In class
12th a student from Humanities stream got 97.4% and for the highest. In class 12th 98.39%
got first division (244/248 students), 1.61% got second division. The students passing out of
the school secured placements in excellent institutions all over India like lIT, DCE and
National Law College in Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Pune, St. Stephens and SRCC Delhi
and in Universities in New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, UK, Texas, Oxford, and USA.
