INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES
The Board has a sports complex at Vinay Marg, New Delhi which has facilities for
Football, Hockey, Cricket, Athletics, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball and practice
pitches for Cricket. The Board also maintains Lawn Tennis Courts at Brassy Avenue, Bharti
Nagar and R.K.Puram Sector -13, New Delhi. Brassy Avenue, New Delhi has facilities for
Volleyball and Cricket practice pitches also. There is a facility for indoor games such as
Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess at Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi.
20. Incentives and Facilities to the Participants:
20 (i) To encourage and improve the standard of participation in the sports, the
Board has the following incentives schemes for the Central Government employees:-
(ii) Board gives cash awards of Rs.5000/-, Rs. 2500/- and Rs.1000/- respectively
to any Central Government employees, who gets First, Second or Third Position in
national events. The employees, who win medals at International events are given
cash awards of twice the amounts admissible for national events.
(iii) Cash award of Rs.2000/-, Rs.1000/- and Rs.500/- respectively to the winners
of First, Second or Third position in any veteran Championship.
(iv) Special prizes in cash or kind to those employees who obtain First, Second
and Third positions in the All India Civil Services Tournaments.
21. Following facilities are further available to the Central Government servants for
participation in sporting events and tournament of national or international importance.
SPECIAL CASUAL LEAVE
21.1 Special Casual leave is granted to Central Government Servants for a period not
exceeding 30 days in any one calendar year for:
In Sports Events:
a) Admissible up to maximum of 30 days in a calendar year for attending:-
(i) Coaching or Training camps under RajkumariAmrit Kaur Coaching Scheme or
Similar All India Coaching or training schemes.
(ii) Coaching or Training camps at the National Institute of Sports Patiala.
(iii) Coaching camps in sports organized by National Sports Federations/Sports
Board recognized by Government (Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.)
Technical officials concerned with the administration of events (1) to (3) above and
also mountaineering/trekking expeditions will be given the facility of Special Casual
Leave.
b) Admissible up to a maximum of 10 days in any one year for participating in Inter-
Ministry and Inter- Departmental tournaments and sporting events held in and
outside Delhi.
Period in excess of 30/10 days in a year will be treated as a regular leave.
