ociation may also be a member of this Committee. The Chairman of such a Committee
may be the senior-most local officer in charge in the area and the Area Welfare Officer may
be the Vice Chairman of the Committee. These Committees are required to meet
periodically for considering the suggestions of the residents for improvement in various
services provided by Municipal/civic agencies.
Instructions have been issued by the Government to the concerned
Departments/organizations to give full cooperation to the Area Welfare Officers in their
activities and ensure that their representatives attend such local meetings and take active
part in the activities of these Committees.
