Keeping in view the need for cleanliness and tidy appearance, Canteen Staff has
been authorized Uniform vide O.M. No. 12/4/2001-Dir.(C), dated 21.1.2002(Annexure-
XIX), O.M. No.12/8/2002-Dir.(C), dated 8.7.2003 (Annexure-XX),& 18/2/2003-Dir.(C),
dated 09.1.2015 (Annexure-XXI). Washing allowance entitled as per O.M. No.18/1/2013-
Dir.(C), dated 10.7.2014(Annexure-XXII), and stitching allowance as per O.M.
No.18/1/2011-Dir.(C), dated 23.1.2012(Annexure-XXIII),.

Management

A Managing Committee is constituted for each Departmental Canteen comprising
officers and staff of the Department/Office occupying the building in which the canteen is
located as per O.M. No.27/1/2005-Dir.(C), dated 14.8.2013 (Annexure-XXIV),. The affairs
of Departmental Canteens/Tiffin Rooms will be overseen by a Managing Committee headed
by the Head of the Department.

Menu

Vegetarian : The actual menus may be decided and adopted by the Managing Committee
keeping in view the local needs and tastes of the customers. Adequate variety in
preparations may be rotated as desired by the beneficiaries. An illustrative list of
vegetarian items of menu is given here under :-
