COOPERATIVE EXCELLENCE AWARD :
Kendriya Bhandar has again been honoured with prestigious Award for cooperative
Excellence in the field of consumer cooperative in the NCT of Delhi for the year 2012-13 by
the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. Kendriya Bhandar was also honoured with such Award during
2007-08, and 2011-12. In the year 2009-10, the Managing Director of Kendriya Bhandar
received the Best Cooperator Award bestowed by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
7. BENEFITS TO CUSTOMER :
(i) The Society has been able to maintain competitive prices for various products sold
by it.
(ii) For ensuring better quality control, pre-testing by a reputed laboratory for grocery
items before distribution to stores has been introduced and testing of random
samples picked from shelves of stores is also being continued. These steps ensure
that the quality of goods sold is maintained for better customer satisfaction. In order
to ensure greater transparency automation in stores has been introduced by way of
billing through computers/cash register machines.
(iii) In order to provide a better shopping environment to the customers, several retail
stores have been renovated and face-lifting has been carried out in Kendriya
Bhandar retail stores on a regular basis.
